A photo-realistic rendering of Motoko Kusanagi, as portrayed in the Ghost in the Shell film. It shoud be noted, for reference for this painting I used an image of the actress who played Ash in Mamoru Oshii's film, "Avalon". This woman bares an increadible likeness to the Major, which is probably why Oshii cast her for his film.

Great work and an amazing idea.
Actually, from the first time I watched "Avalon" I was under the impression that Ash was made to look like Major, but similarities don't stop there, there are some shared characteristics between those 2 characters, like life of solitude, toughness but also fragility deep within.
